Brian’s Heart Healthy Oatmeal
Ingredients:
1 part rolled oats, the thicker the better!
2 parts water
1 cup chopped fruit (your choice of bananas, dates, berries, apples)
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1/2 cup walnuts, pepitas and hemp hearts
Directions:
Cook your oatmeal per container instructions
Add in your chopped fruits, nuts, and flax seed
So easy! So delicious! So simple! And oh so heart healthy!
Notes:
Avoid instant oatmeal. I recommend Bob’s Red Mill old fashioned thick cut oats
For the fruit, think local and seasonal. It just tastes better! Support your local provider
