Brian’s Heart Healthy Oatmeal

Recipe from Co-Founder Dr. Brian Asbill

Ingredients:

  • 1 part rolled oats, the thicker the better!

  • 2 parts water

  • 1 cup chopped fruit (your choice of bananas, dates, berries, apples)

  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed

  • 1/2 cup walnuts, pepitas and hemp hearts

Directions:

  • Cook your oatmeal per container instructions

  • Add in your chopped fruits, nuts, and flax seed

  • So easy! So delicious! So simple! And oh so heart healthy!

Notes:

  • Avoid instant oatmeal. I recommend Bob’s Red Mill old fashioned thick cut oats

  • For the fruit, think local and seasonal. It just tastes better! Support your local provider
